- Merchant & Account Information: When registering an account, we collect your name, email address, password hash, phone number, and subscription details.
- Website Visitor & Chat Data: When visitors interact with the O-Chat widget on an integrated website, we process visitor names, email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, browser user-agent, operating system, page URL path, chat transcripts, voice note recordings, and shared file attachments.
- Device & Usage Diagnostics: We collect device hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, network connection state, and application performance logs to optimize low latency and prevent crashes.
To deliver essential live support features on Android mobile devices, the O-Chat Android App requests specific runtime permissions:
- Microphone Permission (AUDIO_RECORDING): Required to record audio voice notes and enable 1-on-1 WebRTC crystal-clear audio calls with website visitors. Audio is processed strictly during active calls/recordings and is never recorded in the background.
- Camera Permission (CAMERA): Required if support agents or visitors initiate WebRTC video calling or capture photo attachments directly inside live chat threads.
- Push Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS / FCM): Uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to send real-time alerts when a visitor starts a new chat or sends a message, ensuring instant customer response speed.
- System Overlay / Floating Window (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): Used to render Messenger-style floating chat bubbles on your device screen, allowing agents to multitask and reply without leaving current apps.
- Storage / Media Access: Required to upload images, PDFs, or document attachments requested by customers during active support sessions.
The collected data is strictly utilized for the following operational purposes:
- Facilitating real-time messaging, WebRTC voice/video calls, and live visitor tracking across desktop and Android devices.
- Sending real-time push alerts and notification triggers for incoming chat sessional threads.
- Processing subscription renewals, package feature limits, and transaction billing history.
- Detecting, preventing, and addressing security threats, spam, or technical vulnerabilities.

In compliance with Google Play Store User Data policies, users have full control over their account data and may request permanent account deletion and data removal at any time:
- In-App / Dashboard Deletion: You can delete specific chat widgets, clear message histories, or remove team agents directly from the O-Chat Web Dashboard.
- Permanent Account Erasure Request: To request complete deletion of your merchant account, associated widgets, subscription logs, and visitor histories, please submit a request to support@o-chat.live. Upon verification, your account data will be permanently wiped from our active servers within 30 calendar days.
We work with trusted third-party service providers to power key features:
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Used exclusively for delivering background push notifications to Android devices.
- OraclePay Gateway: Handles secure SSL-encrypted transaction processing for subscription billing without storing full payment card details on our servers.
O-Chat is a commercial customer communication platform intended for business usage by individuals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.
